Join us for an unforgettable, 23km kayaking adventure starting in Malta, where you will explore three stunning islands in one day: Malta, Kemmuna (Comino), Ghawdex (Gozo).
We will start from Armier, a beautiful bay on the northern tip of Malta, and paddle along the eastern coast of Kemmuna, where you will marvel at the Elephant Rock, a natural arch that resembles the trunk of an elephant, and the Santa Marija caves, a series of hidden chambers that offer a glimpse into the island’s history and geology.
Then, off to land on the sandy beach of Santa Marija, where we have a chance to relax, snack, and chat with our friendly members and guests. After recharging our energy, G.O.A.K. headed to the southern coast of Ghawdex, the second-largest island of the archipelago, and crossed the Mgarr Channel, a busy waterway that connects Malta and Ghawdex, using our VHF radios to communicate with the Gozo Ferry and other vessels, ensuring a safe and smooth passage.
We then reached Mgarr ix-Xini, a secluded inlet that was once a pirate hideout and a filming location for the movie, By the Sea, starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. We really enjoyed the tranquility and the wildlife of this spot, where we encountered some curious ducks looking for a bite to eat. The next stop was the western coast of Kemmuna, where we discovered the Blue Lagoon, a turquoise paradise that is usually crowded with tourists, but not today.
We had the privilege of kayaking in this crystal clear water, feeling like we were in a dream or a postcard.
Then, off along the coast, exploring more amazing features, such as rock formations, caves, and sea tunnels. Some of these caves have their own mini beaches inside, where you can take a break and admire the scenery.
This is a kayaking experience like no other, where you will see the best of Malta from a different perspective, and have fun along the way.
