From Part-Timers to Full-Time Kayakers:
A New Chapter for GOAK
Hey paddlers! 👋
It’s been a while since we’ve updated this space, as we’ve been so busy on the water that the “news” section drifted off course a bit. But we’re back and excited to share what’s been happening behind the scenes.
As many of you know, GOAK started as a passion project, and we ran tours whenever we could squeeze them in between other commitments. Lots of early mornings, weekends, and after work.
But thanks to your support and love for exploring the water, we’ve taken the leap: we’re now full-time kayakers since the beginning of Summer 2025! 🚣♀️🚣
That means more time on the water, more adventures, and yes, more updates right here, year-round!
From stories about the wildlife we encounter, to new routes we’re exploring, to tips on gear and safety...this page will be our way to bring you along for the ride.
We’re so grateful to everyone who’s joined our tours, shared photos, and cheered us on. The next chapter of GOAK is all about deeper connections with nature, with our community, and with each other.
Stay tuned for our next update: “Behind the Paddles: What a Week in the Life of a Kayak Guide Looks Like.”
