Start your day with a guided sunrise sea kayak adventure along Malta’s southern coastline. Meet before dawn at San Tumas for a safety briefing, then launch at twilight towards Munxar Point to watch the sunrise from the water. After sunrise, explore sea caves and enjoy a swim stop where conditions are suitable. Depending on water-quality readings, sea conditions and the group, we may continue towards Ħofriet Window, Il-Ħofra l-Kbira or return along the Munxar cliffs before paddling back to San Tumas. Active beginners are welcome. The expected paddling distance is approximately 9 km. You must be able to swim unaided and have a reasonable level of fitness. Timing is imperative for sunrise departures. Your confirmed meeting time and safety briefing time will be provided before the activity. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the safety briefing and allow sufficient time for travel, parking and finding the meeting point. You must be present and checked in before the safety briefing begins. If you have not arrived by that time, your kayak and equipment will be secured and stored, and the group will depart without you. We cannot delay the briefing or launch for late arrivals. Late arrivals and no-shows forfeit their booking and payment and are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling. Contacting us to say you are delayed does not guarantee that we can wait. The slipway is illuminated by street lighting. If you require additional light, please bring your own head torch. A water-resistant or waterproof model is recommended. Please avoid shining it towards other guests and follow your leaders’ instructions regarding its use near or on the water. Payment will only be requested after G.O.A.K. has reviewed the weather and sea forecast and confirmed that the activity can proceed. Please do not send payment before receiving our payment request. Your booking is confirmed only once payment has been received. Once payment has been received, it is non-refundable if you cancel, arrive late or fail to attend. At that stage, there may not be enough time to offer your reserved kayak to another guest. The departure location, route or timing may still be adjusted for safety because of changing weather, sea conditions or operational requirements. If G.O.A.K. later cancels the activity, guests may choose between a full refund or transferring their booking to another available date.
